Do you read war stories? Fictional ones? Histories?

Sometimes. I’ve read quite a few epic fantasies and they are usually set in wars. I’m also interested in history and history writing also usually describes wars. I recently listened Connie Willis’ Blackout and All Clear which are set during WWII but followed the civilians in London who are trying to survive the bombings. I found that to be far more interesting than historical war accounts.

However, I don’t seek out books because they describe a war. They have to have another hook to interested me.
