What books did you get for Christmas (or whichever holiday you may have celebrated last month)?
Do you usually ask for books on gift-giving occasions or do you prefer to buy them yourself?
None and I didn’t ask for any. I have over 200 books in my leaning to-be-read-piles so for a few years now, I’ve been of the opinion that I should read them first before buying anything new.
I much prefer to buy books myself.

Like you, I have so many books in my tbr pile! But that doesn’t stop me from wanting and buying (unfortunately for my book room 🙂 .)
I was a very lucky girl this Christmas! Here is my BTT response.

I’m buried under books to read too! I didn’t ask for anything specific, but did get a couple of books for Christmas. I never mind adding to my insurmountable pile, though!

I seem to acquire books faster than I can read them. I do so adore books. My BTT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/01/booking-through-thursday-my-first.html

That is a lot of books waiting to be read.. though I can totally say that I have a ton in my pile too (and growing!)

My TBR isn’t quite that bad. I feel better now. Here is mine

And I thought I had a big TBR pile!! I do feel a little guilty getting new ones when I have so many to read, but I’ll get to them eventually.

I have the same problem, too many TBRs to ask for books… though, part of my problem is that I can’t seem to control myself when I get near a book sale, lol.
I am getting better about not getting more books since bringing a few home that I already had.

I read through books rather quickly–I’m a library junkie most of all. I’m picky about what books I actually buy for my shelves. Enjoy your TBR pile–maybe share some thoughts about what you read with us?? 😉
