“Life is too short to read bad books.” I’d always heard that, but I still read books through until the end no matter how bad they were because I had this sense of obligation.
That is, until this week when I tried (really tried) to read a book that is utterly boring and unrealistic. I had to stop reading.
Do you read everything all the way through or do you feel life really is too short to read bad books?
The latter. I’m also pretty quick to drop a series which doesn’t interest me. I try to avoid books I know I don’t like by reading reviews first.

I avoid books that have not got good reviews from book bloggers. Then there are certain genres I don’t go for!

I have no problem with dropping a series that loses my interest, but I almost always finish books.

I freqently drop bad books. If I’m not engaged within the first couple chapters, I’m not wasting my time. There are too many books out there that I know I’ll love.
Hubby is the total opposite – if you started page 1, you MUST finish, no matter how long and painful it may be.

Life is definitely too short! Why on earth would you do that to yourself? I’ve also walked out of bad movies, but it hasn’t happened very often.

I’ve never walked out of a movie but I tend to be very picky with them.
