This time TOP 5 Sundays at Larissa’s Bookish Life she asks which are the best series in 2010.
Again it was very hard to limit myself to just five. I’ve included only series where I read more than two books during this year.
1, Lois McMaster Bujold: Vorkosigan series.
The Vorkosigan science fiction series started in 1980s and the newest book in the series came out this year, so it’s a quite a long standing series.
2. Naomi Novik’s Temeraire series.
Alternate universe series set in during the Napoleonic Wars, with dragons.
3. Elizabeth Peters’s Amelia Peabody.
The intrepid archaeological family solves crimes in Egypt.
4. C. J. Cherryh’s Chanur series.
Cherryh creates aliens who are at the same time alien and yet understandable.
5. Stacia Kane’s Downside Ghosts series.
I devoured this series as soon as the books came out. Kane has created an interesting world where ghosts are not only real but a threat.
